2019 Dallas International Guitar Festival Highlights
/The 42nd Dallas International Guitar Show just happened. Many of the vintage elite call the Dallas Show the biggest and best of all United States guitar shows.
I had a chance to catch up with show producer Jimmy Wallace a few months ago. A true guitar gentleman, evidenced through his notable avoidance at self promotion, his passion for his Dallas Guitar Show was obvious. Jimmy is also a maker of electric guitar pickups of every variety, and like all of us, on the quest for the ultimate tone.
Noteworthy Appearances
Guitars West was in attendance and that always makes things fun and interesting. I’m told Mercedes was obsessing over The Kinks Gibson Flying V...who can blame her?
Also in attendance with an awesome display of Les Pauls was the legendary Drew Berlin with Taylor Barefoot.
Bursts, Bursts and more Bursts!
Vintage Guitar Dealer Gary Dick with the pickup legend himself, the great Seymour Duncan.
Timm Kummer, vintage guitar guru with Virtual Guitars always comes up with interesting finds.
We’ll follow up with Jimmy once the dust settles and get back to you with any cool stories from him.
We enjoy your comments and if you were at the Dallas Show, feel free to comment and share some of your pics with us.
