1958: The ES-335 Solves The Feedback Problem
The 335 (called that because it originally sold for $335 in 1958) was the true evolution guitar that solved a problem that had been plaguing Gibson for years: How to avoid the inevitable feedback from a hollow body Gibson with powerful new humbucker pickups?
