Here’s one for my fellow bass guitarists. Straight out of the mid 1980s is this Steinberger XL2 5 string bass guitar in excellent condition, all original. The cutting edge of New Wave at the time and a must for any bass collection and so fun to play.
The Award Winning Innovation of 1979
In the late 70s and early ‘80s I clearly remember when these new headless Steinberger basses appeared on the scene. With their special graphite formula body, no headstock and active pickups, it was no Fender bass and we loved them.
Sting Was an Early Steinberger Player in The Police
This is a 1985 5 string is all original and in excellent condition. Recently serviced to clean pots and circuits. Includes original soft case and strap system.
So if you’re into 1980s music, when New Wave was king, a Steinberger bass is a must for your collection. This is as fine an example as you will find.
