1970 Guild F-48 Navarre Jumbo

$2,222.00

Please to offer this 1970 Guild F-48. The Guild F-48 is a jumbo-sized acoustic guitar considered one of the company's classic models, known for its large body size and powerful tone. Primarily produced during the "Westerly" era of Guild guitars, meaning it was manufactured in the factory located in Westerly, Rhode Island, between the late 1960s and early 2000s, the F-48 is often sought after by players looking for a full, resonant sound with a large playing surface.

Guild F-48s, with their mahogany back and sides (they feature a flat and braced back rather than a press-arched one with no bracing), are actually relatively hard to find. Some say they sound a lot like a cross between a warmer-sounding Gibson J-200 and a D-18, too, which is an interesting voice to have on hand.

Whereas a Guild F-50 (with its press-arched maple back) is more punchy, rumbly, direct, and projects really well, this is all of that but with a slightly woodier, more bluegrassy vibe.

Maintenance & Repairs: a neck reset, cleaning, and setup.
